NEW YORK – February 14, 2007 – Brighter Minds Media today announced that Pirate Poppers™, created by leading casual games publisher, PlayFirst and developer, Mystery Studio, was elected to the American Library Association’s 2007 Notable Computer Software for Children list – an influential list of products selected by a committee of leading national educators and children’s librarians that aids libraries, schools and retailers in making children’s software purchasing decisions.

In the Pirate Poppers adventure, players journey to exotic locales past Cutthroat City and beyond Fire Mountain where a glorious trove of treasure awaits. Players must aim cannonballs to clear away menacing chains while skillfully unlocking priceless pearls, trinkets and jewels to earn scraps of a treasure map that lead to even greater riches. Starting the journey as a lowly Landlubber, players must fearlessly plunder their way up the ranks to Scurvy Dog, Powder Monkey and beyond. The game features over 230 levels, six power ups, and three game modes, including Adventure, Arcade and a unique Puzzle mode.
