As an afterthought to my last diatribe, never underestimate the role of sleep in creativity. It’s hard to feel - or encourage - creativity when you’re worn out. I think that’s why I’ve started going to bed at a decent hour instead of carrying on all night like I used to. That, and I’m slowly turning into my parents.
I’m no sleep-expert (despite all the practice I’ve been getting), but here’s some tips from someone who is:

Thanks for the shout-out! Certainly sleep makes a tremendous difference in one’s ability to think clearly, and I think that’s definitely a big part of being creative.
