Columbus, Ohio - December 27, 2007- Brighter Minds Media (Brighter Minds), a children’s multimedia company based out of Worthington, Ohio, has announced a charitable donation to Franklin County Children’s Services. The publishing company, which develops and markets a variety of top selling educational books, software, and games, has promised Franklin County Children Services over 1500 gift bags and 100 software games, in addition to the over 500 games they had already donated this season. The total retail value of the donation is approximately $25,000.
“This wonderful donation from Brighter Minds Media will give our children the opportunity to learn and grow, as all parents want for their children. This is a very generous and welcome contribution!” says Foster Care Recruitment Specialist Daryle Cobb of Franklin County Children Services.
Director of Marketing and Operations for Brighter Minds Media, Jody McLain, says she is delighted about giving to such a good cause. “I love knowing that Brighter Minds can help others during the holiday season. Everyone deserves a gift,” said McLain.
Included in the gift bags are a variety of award winning computer games including the very popular Diner Dash, Plantasia, and Cartoon Network All-Stars. Also included are a series of educational software flashcards, workbooks and other educational materials. Intended for children 3-12, the games “. . . are all great products that the entire family can enjoy, and their educational value makes them worthwhile gifts,” said McLain. “The holidays are a time for giving and everyone at Brighter Minds is dedicated to helping wherever we can.”
Brighter Minds is proud to work in conjunction with Franklin County Children Services and the surrounding community. Brighter Minds makes it a priority to give back to the community in meaningful ways through different projects, including this donation and many others.
Brighter Minds Media will also be donating over 200 toys, totaling nearly $2500 in retail value, for NBC 4’s Toys for Tots drive on Saturday, December 15th.
