Toronto, ON – January 30, 2008 – Brighter Minds Media, Inc (the Company, TSX: BRI.V), announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Brighter Minds Media, LLC (Brighter Minds or BMM), has entered into an agreement with DreamWorks Animation SKG. Brighter Minds has signed on as a licensee for the latest DreamWorks animated feature film, Kung Fu Panda, and will be releasing interactive children’s novelty books in May of 2008 to coincide with the release of the film in Summer 2008.
Kung Fu Panda, slated for theatrical release on June 6, 2008, is the story of Po, an enthusiastic, albeit big and clumsy, kung fu aficionado who is unwittingly chosen to fight alongside his kung fu heroes in a battle to save his peaceful home.
“It is invigorating to work with a partner like DreamWorks,” stated Sam Ifergan, Chairman and CEO of the Company. “They are undoubtedly a leader in the industry with hits like Shrek, Antz and Transformers.
